02 Our Mission

Their service
must not go
unrecognised.

To honour those who bring others home, often at great personal risk.

Across the mountains and rivers of northern Pakistan, local guides, porters, villagers and recovery volunteers undertake difficult and dangerous work to bring missing and deceased people back to their families. Their courage, sacrifice and service often receive little recognition or support.

Heroes Without Headlines exists to recognise these individuals, remember those who lost their lives, and bring public attention to the challenges faced by recovery teams. We want their contributions to be acknowledged and their need for better equipment, resources and community support to be heard.
